Does bankruptcy show on a criminal background check in Indiana?

I am volunteering to work with kids and, as they should, they are a running a criminal and medical background check. I'm just a little ashamed about an unavoidable bankruptcy from 5 years ago and wondered if that will show up on this too.

Bankruptcy is not a crime, so it shouldn't so up — unless they are doing a credit check in addition to the criminal check.

If there was a fraud in the filing, then an issue may exist.

Bankruptcies are civil and not criminal. Therefore they should only show in a credit check.

I don't think it would show up. Just to be sure, it might be worth it to run your background check. It's not that expensive and you can do it here: http://askinglaw.com/legal-forms/
