I was wanting to know who reports criminal backgrounds?

What happens is someone will order a background report on you. This person uses a third party and they then order it from either the court itself or another party that gets it from the court. What is reported depends on the state and court it is ordered from. They do report misdemeanors, felonies and sometimes traffic. Most only go back 7 years unless it is a felony they can go back longer.
